Plain language. The Vault is a free hobby tool, not a business.

What this is

The Vault is a free tool for Magic: The Gathering players: it keeps your collection and decks, values them, and lets your own AI assistant (Claude, ChatGPT and others) work with them. There is no charge and no premium tier. The source code is public at github.com/colombod-personal/the-vault.

No guarantees

Answers are only as good as their sources and can be wrong or out of date. Prices are Scryfall's, dated, and are not any store's price today. Rules answers quote the Comprehensive Rules edition they name; when the sources do not settle a question the Vault says so, and for tournament rulings you should ask a judge. The service is provided as it is, without warranty, and may change or stop. Do not rely on it for a purchase worth more than you can afford to get wrong.

Where the information comes from

Every answer shows its source: card data, images and prices from Scryfall; the Comprehensive Rules from Wizards of the Coast; combos from Commander Spellbook; decks from Archidekt (read only, one public deck at a time, on your request). Figures the Vault works out itself are marked as computed. See Credits.

Your account and what an assistant may do with it

• You need a free account (Google, Microsoft, Apple, Facebook or a passkey). Your collection and decks are private unless you share them.
• When you connect an assistant, you choose what it may do on a consent screen. Read lets it read your collection and decks. Write lets it import collections, save and edit decks, change which cards you own, refresh prices, and share. Changes show a preview first and need your yes.
• An assistant can never delete your account, export all your data, create or revoke access tokens, or change how you sign in.
• The Vault never contacts stores, fills carts or buys anything.

Disconnecting and deleting

You can disconnect any assistant at any time in the Vault under Account → Connected apps. You can delete your account and all of its data in the same place. See the privacy notice.

Fair use

Do not use the Vault to attack it or other people, to scrape it, or to resell its data. Rate limits protect the free service and the sources it depends on. Accounts that abuse it can be closed.
